Toddler Sleep Problems - Introducing Your Child to a Sleep Routine

Common toddler sleep problems can be solved by the introduction of a sleep routine. Bedtime can be a challenge, and one of the most frustrating times of the day for the parents and the child. It is to be so hard for a child, active throughout the day and then suddenly told to lie down and sleep as soon as it is their bedtime. Creating a transition from activity to rest time can make a big difference in the way that your a little sleep.

My husband and I felt like we had tried everything, possible, to help our little girl to sleep better through the night. We fight when we get them in bed under screaming and crying. We were woken up crying several times a night to learn more through the night, when she would wake up. We'd love to go back to bed several times during the night when they were out of bed and into our room. And after a night of sleep, very restless, being rested, our sweet little girl and ready to play much earlier thanwe would have liked. To top it all off, our child would be tedious and whiny until mid-morning because they are not always as much sleep as they are needed.

In recognition of the fighting that saw our child as we tried to get her into bed, we started our bedtime expand exercises in bed with her and say "good night" into a full blown routine to her to help transition and wind down from the activities of the day. It did not take long for our girls to cling toits new structured schedule. Infants are particularly good at following a set routine, because it helps them to know what to expect next. Since our bedtime routine begins to approach it, our girls will automatically start to show signs of fatigue, and starts to calm down. This not only helps you fall asleep, but she sleeps through the night and rested the next morning.
